The Trade Counter Assistant will facilitate the delivery of group standard Trade Counter and Sales process activities that are specifically aligned with the requirements of the South African operating company.
Duties & Responsibilities
Maintenance, and improvement of cross counter customer service
Monthly updating and continuous improving of display areas in line with company marketing activities
Responsibility for cash balance at the end of the day in the Trade Counter as well as the reporting of all cheque, credit card and electronic transfer transactions by 09:00 the next business day
Assisting on the trade counter:
Assisting customers with queries.
Processing/picking customers’ orders (cash till included)
Processing faxed orders/quotes where required
Processing telephonic orders where required
Receiving goods returned from customers
Assisting in the maintenance, general neatness, and cleanliness of the trade counter
Working at the Trade Counter on alternate Saturdays from 08:00 to 12:00.
Stock control and security on site
Desired Experience & Qualification
N4 to N6 will be an advantage
Experience of selling Industrial components in a business to business retail sales environment advantageous
Sound technical knowledge
Previous experience in using the SAP system for processing orders will be an advantage
