Degree / BTech/ Diploma or similar relevant post matric qualification in Instrumentation / Electrical / Electronic Engineering
Expert knowledge on Instrument Control systems, Automation and programming.
Minimum of 5 years heavy industry experience preferably in a ferrochrome smelting environment.
Thorough knowledge and experience of programming with proficiency in SCADA and Siemens PCS7 will be a distinct advantage.
Proficiency in network engineering on Profibus and Profinet is an essential requirement.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills in a highly technical environment.
The incumbent will be responsible for:
Drive automation and improvement initiatives across different operational units.
Identify opportunities where Advanced Process Control can be utilised to improve process performances and automation.
Problem solving and troubleshooting on PLC’s and networks in the field.
Programming of equipment and processes.
This position will report to the Instrumentation Superintendent and will be provided with development and upward mobility opportunities.
