Job Description: This role will be responsible for developing new business and driving sales by working as a sales focused business partner with our registered Forevermark Jewellers (FMJs). The Wholesale Sales Executive will develop close business relationships owners, managers, sales representatives etc. in store and will work to understand their retail business strategy and demonstrate how Forevermark can play a key role in achieving higher margins and a more profitable and sustainable diamond business. This role is responsible for selling in Forevermark’s bridal collection and other key merchandise categories. Additionally, it is responsible for opening new doors and maintaining and growing the business within existing accounts. The role will focus on the implementation of key programs, monitoring FMJ performance and troubleshooting whilst out in the field to help attain our key results indicators (KRAs).
The territory consists of the Washington D.C. area New York City, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia.
Responsible for developing an annual business plan covering partner goals for: merchandise, in store visual merchandise, marketing and sales promotions/incentives, and sales staff training. Plan to be agreed and signed off by Wholesale Jewelery Sales Executive & Store Owner / Decision Maker;
Responsible for opening new doors;
Responsible for selling in bridal collection and other key FM merchandising initiatives;
Responsible for achieving KRA’s in relation to door fees, sales and inventory goals, trade show attendance, incentive participation, etc.;
Responsible for completing and updating retail questionnaires;
Liaise with store owners, managers, sales associates and Forevermark Brand Ambassadors to ensure all store personnel are informed and committed to promoting FM Jewelery to customers;
Ensure that monthly inventory and sales are reported on time and work with FMJs to ensure that relevant franchise fees are current;
Work in conjunction with the Regional Sales Director to ensure effective execution of our strategies;
Work with sales team to monitor and forecast sales trends; identify and share best practices across the US Forevermark teams, as well as the wider De Beers Group of Companies where applicable;
Support in store sales events in conjunction with our Marketing/PR teams;
Promote all trade events, Focus Training activities and the annual FM Forum corporate event;
Monitor market intelligence for competitiveness and future distribution opportunities; and
Responsible for keeping Salesforce current and updated at all times.
Residence in Washington D.C. area NYC, NJ, DE, MD, VA preferred.
Qualifications: Bachelor degree or equivalent experience; Prior jewelery sales experience is essential, ideally within the luxury space; Established relationships with independent jewelers in the territory preferred; Ability to travel is a requirement; and Past experience in stock management, business strategic partnering or concession management would be advantageous.
