Introduction Role Overview:
Reporting to both MD’s, in Property and Auto business, the Head of Marketing will ensure and implement a Marketing and Communication plan according to the strategies of both businesses; and this will include a Brand strategy and Digital Strategy. All marketing activities are to be measured and reviewed with a clear growth of the business in line with the Sales plans and Strategy.
Duties & Responsibilities Marketing and Digital Strategy & its Implementation
Develop and manage digital marketing campaigns Manage the company’s website Optimise content for the website and social networking channels such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Google Plus etc. Track the website traffic and provide internal reports Fix any error in online content and arrange webinars and webcasts Attend networking events and product launches Identify new digital marketing trends and ensure that the brand is in front of the industry developments Work on SEO of website pages Edit and post content, videos, podcasts and audio content on online sites Execute social media efforts to improve KPI’s, likes, shares, tweets etc… Creating and executing SMS and email-based marketing campaigns Promote company products and services in digital space
Annual strategy on reaching target audiences – mediums to use, key message development, goals and objectives Monthly Toolkit newsletter – source data from analytics, come up with topic and theme, write up newsletter, get approvals and send out, competition winner announcements notification and issuing of voucher to winner Monthly property newsletter – source data from analytics, come up with topic and theme, write up newsletter, get approvals and send out. Convert and load on website. Send to media and follow up on queries Pop up campaigns – Design and load any targeted campaigns around a product Mailer campaigns – Write, edit and design any product related campaigns (This is about 4 a week from various sales/training team requests) House price indices – get from analytics, review, convert to correct formats, load on website and mail blaze and distribute Client surveys – annual and ad hoc, set up, send out and collate results.
All department communications – design, write/edit and distribute Communicate values, purpose and entrench with staff Assist with any management communication to teams
Organise all relationship events – source, invite, rsvp and event organisation Property training seminars – venues source, invite, rsvp and event organisation Company Conferences Year-end events (Internal) Various sponsored events –this involves exhibition stand organisation as well as speakers at these events. Any other ad hoc events that need help being organised We organise the travel arrangements for events as well.
Implementation of brand strategy according to brand guidelines Key messages per stream ad value propositions for each product offering Brand ambassador building Ensure brand consistency on all external facing products, communications, promo material, PR etc. Brand perception management
Develop/design/edit all presentations Brochures Templates library – update and communicate as templates are changed or updated. Business cards Sales pitch decks – develop, update, edit etc. Videos – story board and assistance in developing Podcasts and webinars Websites – manage, update all websites across the organisation, develop new group website Training material
Source and brand all promo gifts as needed
OKR development and alignment Development of the team Performance reviews of team General team support and delegation
Annual strategy, key message development and audience targets Monthly ideas meeting with PR agency Come up with topics for each month that relates to a theme or something topical in the property industry Schedule research with analytics teams, get research and write it up into something logical the PR agency can use to write into articles and releases Edit, approve articles, release and respond to any queries Interaction with media – this is via email, phone calls, WhatsApp – journalists ask for info for an article, or an interview with one of our spokespersons etc. Set it up, gather the data and respond. Devise a social media content calendar Gather info/data for social content calendar and have any pics/tag lines etc. designed Monitor social media platforms and respond to any queries, DM’s, tweets etc. Speaking slots at events: Source events to speak at or respond to requests received. Allocate speaker, storyboard presentation with speaker, gather required data from analytics team, complete design and visuals. Handle any write up articles/promotions on social needed post event. Desired Experience & Qualification Minimum requirements:
Undergraduate degree in Marketing
Minimum 5 years relevant working experience within a company that has B2B and B2C experience
Broad computer skills – e.g. MS Excel, Word, Powerpoint, etc. Adobe proficient
Excellent verbal and written communication skills Passionate about problem-solving High EQ Professional Strong presentation skills Positive outlook to work and life in general Attentive to detail and strong analytical skills Able to accurately estimate work required on tasks, prioritise work and deliver to deadlines Able to work well in a team as well as individually Able to co-ordinate teamwork and extract the best from a team Able to think creatively and innovatively Package & Remuneration Salary is negotiable, but up to around R1.2 million per annum
